Corey Montgomery, M.D.

Corey Montgomery, M.D., is an Associate Professor in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Arkansas Medical Sciences (UAMS) in Little Rock, Arkansas. Dr. Montgomery completed his orthopaedic surgery residency training at UAMS followed by a one-year orthopaedic oncology fellowship at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital. He specializes in malignant and benign tumors of the bone and soft-tissues in both adults and children. Dr. Montgomery is one of only two fellowship-trained orthopaedic oncologists in the state of Arkansas.

Dr. Montgomery serves as the Residency Program Director in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, where he oversees the education and training of the department’s 25 orthopaedic surgery residents.  He previously served as both the Associate Residency Program Director and the Director of Student Clerkships for the past 10 years. He is active within the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the Musculoskeletal Tumor Society, the Southern Orthopaedic Association, and the Gladden Society. He has been received numerous accolades for his medical student and resident teaching, including several red sash awards.  He also been the principal investigator on several research projects resulting in peer-reviewed research articles.
