At the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, we advance health to serve the people in our state, region, and the world. As the state’s only academic health system, we pursue excellence every day at our main campus in Little Rock, Northwest Arkansas regional campus in Fayetteville, network of regional campuses, seven institutes, and throughout the UAMS Health system that encompasses our flagship hospital in Little Rock and a statewide network of primary and specialty care clinics and centers throughout the state.
While our physical presence is one way to measure UAMS’ scale and reach, it’s inside these buildings — in every floor, unit and room — where you clearly see the impact.
Where lives are improved.
Where tomorrow’s leaders are trained.
Where medicine is changed.
And where we deliver on our promise to the people we care for, every day.
It’s why we continue to build dedicated spaces, expand capacity and invest in the most advanced technologies — to improve the health and well-being of those in our communities, our state, and others in the region, nation, and world.
With programs operating in all 75 counties in the state, we put academic medicine within reach all across Arkansas to provide better treatments and better outcomes for the communities we have the honor of serving.
At UAMS, we have always pushed the boundaries of what is possible — and we’re not stopping now.
Building on almost 145 years of bold moves and breakthroughs, we are thinking big about the future.
That is why we embarked on this exciting journey to develop a brand-new hospital that will transform the orthopaedic and spine health of patients now and for generations to come.
In June 2023, we opened The Orthopaedic & Spine Hospital at UAMS to create much-needed additional surgical capacity, accommodate advances in medical technology, and offer the most innovative care in a healing environment designed to meet the needs of patients and families.
As UAMS approaches its 150th anniversary, one constant remains: it is our community of donors who power us into the future. We invite you to support our incredible institution and help advance The Orthopaedic & Spine Hospital for the century ahead.
