UAMS Welcomes 3 New Orthopaedic Surgeons

Oct. 22, 2024| LITTLE ROCK — Orthopaedic surgeons Sean Parham, M.D., Paul Inclan, M.D., and Ryan Anthony, M.D., recently joined the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, bringing expertise in foot and ankle surgery, sports medicine and orthopaedic trauma, respectively, to enhance patient care and medical education in Arkansas.
“We are delighted to welcome Dr. Parham, Dr. Inclan and Dr. Anthony to UAMS,” said C. Lowry Barnes, M.D., chair of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery in the UAMS College of Medicine. “They are all brilliant surgeons who are dedicated to providing exceptional patient care.”
Parham is an Arkansas native and fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon specializing in foot and ankle conditions. He earned a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry from Colorado College before attending the UAMS College of Medicine, where he was inducted into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) society and graduated with an Honors in Research. Parham completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at UAMS, earning the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society (AOFAS) Resident Scholar Award and the UAMS Orthopaedics 2023 Resident Educator of the Year award. He further advanced his training with a fellowship at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City under the tutelage of Charles Saltzman, M.D., and his partners.
Parham provides a patient-centered approach for treating arthritic conditions, sports injuries, fractures and deformities. He utilizes cutting-edge surgical techniques, including minimally invasive procedures and total ankle replacements. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Arkansas Orthopaedic Society and the American Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Society.
He sees patients at the UAMS Health Orthopaedic Clinic on Shackleford Road in Little Rock, the UAMS Health Orthopaedic & Spine Clinic in North Little Rock and The Orthopaedic & Spine Hospital at UAMS, as well as at the John L. McClellan Memorial Veterans’ Hospital.

Inclan is a fellowship-trained orthopaedic sports medicine surgeon with a focus on complex knee surgeries, ACL reconstructions and hip preservation. He joins UAMS after completing his sports medicine fellowship at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York, where he worked with professional sports teams including the New York Giants.
Inclan graduated summa cum laude from Wofford College in South Carolina, where he was a Division I collegiate football player and was named to the Southern Conference All-Academic team, Phi Beta Kappa and the National Football Foundation Hampshire Honor Society. His academic achievements continued into medical school, where he graduated first in his class from the Wake Forest University School of Medicine and was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) and the Gold Humanism Honor Society. He has published more than 30 research articles in prestigious medical journals and has presented his work at national conferences.
He specializes in treating young athletes and has a passion for advancing sports medicine through research. Inclan treats patients at the UAMS Health Orthopaedic Clinic on Colonel Glenn Road in Little Rock, the UAMS Health Orthopaedic & Spine Clinic in North Little Rock and The Orthopaedic & Spine Hospital at UAMS. He also serves as head team physician for the University of Arkansas at Little Rock Trojans.

Anthony is a fellowship-trained orthopaedic trauma surgeon with a focus on treating complex fractures and dislocations of the arm, leg and pelvis. Additionally, his expertise includes treating bones that have not healed (non-unions) or ones healed abnormally (mal unions).
He received his undergraduate degree from Oklahoma State University before earning his medical degree from the University of Oklahoma. Anthony then completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, where he trained at the one of the busiest Level 1 trauma centers in the country. Afterwards, he completed a fellowship dedicated to orthopaedic traumatology at the prestigious Harborview Medical Center (University of Washington), in Seattle.
A member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Orthopaedic Trauma Association and AO Trauma, Anthony is committed to providing advanced care for trauma patients. Additionally, his interests include furthering research in orthopaedic trauma surgery and focusing on resident and medical student education at UAMS.
He joins the UAMS faculty as an assistant professor and will provide care at The Orthopaedic & Spine Hospital at UAMS, UAMS Medical Center and the John L. McClellan Memorial Veterans’ Hospital.
