New Orthopaedic Traumatologist Joins UAMS Department of Orthopaedic Surgery
Ryan T. Anthony, M.D., a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in orthopaedic trauma, has joined the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) as an assistant professor in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery.
Dr. Anthony earned his undergraduate degree in physiology from the Oklahoma State University and completed medical school at the University of Oklahoma. He received his orthopaedic surgery residency training at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UT Health). Dr. Anthony then completed a fellowship in orthopaedic traumatology at the University of Washington, Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
With his advanced training, Dr. Anthony has the expertise to assess and treat complex trauma injuries such as non-healing fractures, malaligned fractures, pelvic fractures, as well as providing tertiary trauma care.
Dr. Anthony is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Orthopedic Trauma Association, and AO Trauma.
