Foot and Ankle Surgeon Sean Parham, M.D., Joins UAMS Department of Orthopaedic Surgery
Dr. Sean Parham, a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in the treatment of conditions related to the foot and ankle, has joined the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) as an assistant professor in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery.
An Arkansas native, Dr. Parham graduated medical school with an honors in research from UAMS. As a medical student, he was awarded the Barton Foundation Scholarship, the Class of 1953 Scholarship, and the Dr. George Link Ackerman Scholarship. He was also inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.
Dr. Parham completed his orthopedic surgery residency training at UAMS where he was awarded the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society (AOFAS) Resident Scholar Award and Resident Educator of the Year Award. He further specialized his training by completing an orthopedic foot and ankle surgery fellowship at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City.
Dr. Parham utilizes a patient-centered approach to provide comprehensive care for foot and ankle disorders including arthritic conditions, sports-related injuries, fractures, and deformities. He employs cutting-edge surgical techniques, including minimally invasive procedures and total ankle arthroplasty. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Society. He is committed to contributing to the field through research and training future orthopedic surgeons as part of the UAMS orthopedic surgery residency program.
Dr. Parham sees patients at the UAMS Health Orthopaedic Clinic on Shackelford Road in Little Rock and the UAMS Health Orthopaedic & Spine Clinic in North Little Rock. He provides surgical care for patients in The Orthopaedic & Spine Hospital at UAMS.
