R. Dale Blasier, M.D. Receives North American Spine Society’s 2022 Spine Advocacy Award
R. Dale Blasier, M.D., FRCS(C), MBA, professor in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) and pediatric orthopaedic surgeon at Arkansas Children’s Hospital, has been named the recipient of the North American Spine Society’s 2022 Spine Advocacy Award.
The award is given annually to recognize members of the North American Spine Society who have made exceptional contributions to the federal advocacy efforts on behalf of patients and members of the society. Blasier was nominated for the award by Philip Schneider, M.D., an orthopaedic spine surgeon in Chevy Chase, Maryland, who serves as Vice-President of The Centers for Advanced Orthopaedics. Schneider is also the founder and Director of the Holy Cross Hospital Spine Center. Blasier was presented the award during a special ceremony held at the North American Spine Society’s 37th Annual Meeting in Chicago.
