Application Deadline

The deadline for receipt of all application materials is October 15, 2019.

Electronic Application

The UAMS Department of Orthopaedics only accepts applications through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). Documents emailed or mailed will not be accepted. Please visit the ERAS website for more information.

Items required for ERAS application:

  • Completed ERAS application form
  • Personal statement
  • One photograph
  • Three (3) professional letters of recommendation
  • Medical School Official Transcripts
  • Medical School Performance Evaluation (Dean’s Letter)
  • ECFMG Status Report for International applicants
  • Documentation of national USMLE Step 1, Step 2(CK), Step 2(CS) required (Note: Scores of 230 and above for Steps 1 and 2 are preferred)

Your application form and supporting documentation must be received by our office through ERAS no later than October 15, 2019. The Dean’s letter and transcripts will be the only documentation accepted after the deadline.

Foreign Medical School Graduates

Please contact the Education Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) office to obtain information on applying to our residency program using ERAS.

Interviews

After applications are received and reviewed, invited applicants will be contacted for personal interviews.
