The UAMS Orthopaedic Surgery Interest Group provides University of Arkansas Medical Students with opportunities to learn about and experience the diverse fields of Orthopaedic Surgery by enabling students to interact with Residents and Faculty in Orthopaedic Surgery and to explore their interests in the specialties.

By serving as a liaison between students and faculty, this group facilitates student collaboration with department faculty on research projects. Dr. Corey Montgomery, our faculty mentor, can help with the transition from medical school to orthopedic surgery residency.

UAMS Orthopaedic Surgery Interest Group events are open to anyone considering orthopedic surgery as a career, or anyone who wants to further their understanding of orthopedics.
